"Design options are infinite when making your own tissue box covers, allowing you to match your home's design and color scheme. Making the covers with a hand made form to shape the clay, which I've done in the past, can be very time consuming. For this project I used an inexpensive store bought papier mache tissue box and, after adding color to sheets of clay, applied them directly onto the box. The clay is baked to the box which helps it keep its shape. The design is a result of one large stencil pressed to the clay before adding the color. I chose this shade of blue to complement the blue in our newly remodeled bathroom. But you can pick a color that works with your decor. This navy blue color looks dark blue at times, or light blue, or gray. Mica powder causes colors to shift, adding so much interest to any project."
