By: Chrissy from museofthemorning.com
Tie Dye Scarves for Kids

Get your kids outside to Tie Dye Scarves that they can wear as capes and you can wear fashionably. This is a fun summer activity for kids because there aren't any harsh chemicals involved, just Kool-Aid and white vinegar. With the free instructions, your kids will be running around the yard in a colorful array of scarves in no time! This is an easy craft to make outdoors so any dye that misses the scarf will end up in the grass and dry up in the sun.

Oh my, Kool-Aid and vinegar, who would have thought that such simple ingredients could make such a pretty and colorful fabric for a wonderful kid's outfit? I love the simplicity of this technique and the fact that kids can be a part of it too. After coloring the fabric, I could see sewing a band of ribbon or fabric around the top in one of the colors used that could serve as a tie to make a cape... Any boy or girl would love being a super hero with so many cool colors, or how about a butterfly with pretty wings? Add some glitter glue in the shape of veins for the wings for so,e extra sparkle! Fun, thanks for sharing!

I have two adorable grandkids that I would love to make these for. #FaveCraftTieDye
