Materials List

  • 3 Styrofoam balls
  • Wooden skewers
  • Ribbon
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter
  • Twigs
  • Embellishment for hat

  1. The wood skewers poke right through the styrofoam to make the perfect snowman body.

  2. We coated the entire snowman body with Mod Podge.

  3. Then, we dusted the body with glitter for a sparkly snow effect.  After the Mod Podge and glitter were dry, we simply painted on the carrot nose and coal eyes and mouth, wrapped a little ribbon around the neck and poked some twigs in for arms.

  4. At the last minute, we grabbed a little twisty piece of potpourri for the hat… cute, huh?

What a cute snowman and so easy to make. The idea of using a Wooden skewers to hold it together is a good idea so it does not keep falling over and the glitter for that sparkle nice. This is so easy that anyone can make these snow men. You can use them s a centerpiece on a table or on a mantle. Just in time for Christmas.

Kids will love is little, guy and I could see modifying it by using different sized styrofoam balls to create small, medium and larger snowmen and arrange them in clusters or even in a row as a garland on top of the mantle! Add a string of,lights among these cute little guys to light up any sparkley glitter tones used! Make several,to,put in top of gifts and add a nice gold thread loop,at the top so,it can be hung as an ornament, sweet!
