Materials:

  • Pair of socks
  • Decorative button
  • Ribbon or lace
  • Tailor's Ham or small pillow

Instructions:

  1. Cut off the toes part.

  2. Turn the sock with the heel part upwards.

  3. Gather the part where the heel is, pin it and hand stitch it.

  4. Add a decorative button.

  5. Add some lace or ribbon.

  6. You have to insert a tailor's ham inside before you stitch the lace. If you don't have a tailor's ham insert another pair of socks or a small pillow.

  7. Something that will expand the sock. Then (hand) stitch the lace.

  8. Your new, fabulous wrist warmers.

These hand warmers from socks is definitely on my gifts to make list for this winter. They are so classy looking and I never thought they would be this easy. I have always made the leg warmers from lace but never thought to make arm ones from socks. These will make some great stocking stuffers for any girl or women on your list or even make for a gift for coworker or a door prize or host gift. Nice pictured step by step tutorial. Super gift idea.

these are so cute, would also be great for those that have poor circulation in the hand wrist area. even just one would work well, you could even cover a button to match your outfit,or a covered button from a past project. thank you for showing this.

What a lovely idea! Perhaps now I can "doll-up" my not-so-lady-like tops.

these are really cute. i think my ladies at the nursing home would even like making these

So great for grandkids and help ppl who have arthrists to help keeping warms too!
