I'm a huge fan of painting any surface, be it fabric or wood I'll gladly get my brushes and start but this is different. Kitchen utensils like this need to cure and I like crafts that don't last more than 48 hours but it's a long way to Christmas and I want to be ready by then. For these I would prefer using a stencil to make the perfect shapes. You can even make some

What an easy way to upcycle or dress up an ordinary plate. The dots are adorable but I have square plates so i plan on applying squares. The sky is the limit on what you can do with this simple craft idea.

I am planning on hosting at least one holiday brunch for my book club. I think this would be a nice addition to the table just to kick it up a notch. I love the red polka dots and they will go along with what I have as decor right now.

Do you like to decorate the table for Chriatmas or Thanksgiving and wish you had bought some nice plates but hate spending a lot of money for them than here is a way you can decorate your own with plain plates from the dollar store. All you need is some paint and patience for setteling time. These are so easy and so inexpensive to make. So clever. How many are you making for your table?

These plates are so cute! I have decorated white coffee mugs before, but I never thought of decorating plates. I'm heading to the dollar store to see if I can find white plates. I think I will make some with red, yellow, orange, and brown dots for Thanksgiving. Thanks for a lovely idea that is easy enough for me!

I have never made my own painted buffet or dessert plates before. I actually did not know it was so easy to do. If I would have known that, perhaps I would have attempted it way earlier. These hand-painted plates are simply adorable. I would love to make a set of 12 in no less than 4 different colors. The Dollar Tree is really a great place to stock up on basics!

These are so pretty and polka dots are always in style. This project brings back memories of when I painted plates as a kid. The plates can be purchased inexpensively at the dollar store and would an attractive hostess gift stacked in fours and secured with a beautiful shiny ribbon. I know my friends would love them.

I have followed Kierste's ideas before and always find them to be pretty, easy and fast, but most of all inexpensive, more like down right cheap. my kind of gal ! These are so cute. She makes my imagination run wild. Why not a stencil around the edge with bells, holly, anything Christmas? Or mix these dots with red and green. I have an old set of plain white dishes in a box in the closet, time to rebirth them! Thanks Kierste'
