This is a great project for using up old t-shirts. It is simple to make, and takes very little time. It is great for puppies when they are teething too. Why pay five or six dollars in a store for them, when you can make them yourself. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Heidi, I have done this as well with different colored shirt strips. I do a quick whip stitch sewing on the ends for easier braiding. Just cut off the thread ends and it will last longer as well. I hope this helps.

I really like this craft. It is a fun way to use old shirts. I cut the shirt and my children can practice their braiding skills making these. Then they get to go play with the dog. I am wanting to try them with different colored strips and need to figure out the best way to do that. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
