Jewels of the Sea Pendants

Show off your seaside treasures with these Jewels of the Sea Pendants.  Tumbled glass (or sea glass) makes beautiful jewelry, and if you don't have a sea glass collection of your own, you can easily find it at your local craft store. These pendants are perfect for dressing up any outfit, and you can easily creat matching earrings to complete your jewelry set.

Jewels of the Sea Pendants

  • Jennifer's Mosaics™ Tumbled Glass, 20-Ounce, Multi-Color (MS343)
  • Fuseworks™ Fashion or Art Bails (FW85235, FW85325, FW85315)
  • Glass Adhesive
  • Wire
  • Assorted Glass
  • Beads or Charms

  1. Cover your work surface with newspaper or craft paper. Spread a package of Diamond Tech's Tumbled Glass on top of the paper and separate them into piles according to size – small, medium and large.
  2. Now it is time to play! I generally find that one small and one large piece of tumbled glass looks best. Choose unusual colors to go together, like brown and green.
  3. Find the flat sides of each piece and place them next to each other. Should the pieces not fit tightly, use a metal nail file or diamond file to rub until flat. Don't glue the pieces together yet. I like to assemble my pendant first, then glue.
  4. To add character, use bits of a colorful broken bottle or other glass to add to your pendant. Feel free to use a wheeled glass nipper and nip glass into a shape to enhance your pendant design. You can also use wire to create design elements such as a spiral. Add beads to your wire for depth.
  5. Once you are pleased with the dynamics of your pendant, use glass adhesive such as E-6000® to adhere the pieces together. Allow the adhesive to properly dry following the manufacturer's directions.
  6. When completely dry, affix a Fashion or Art Bail from Diamond Tech to the back of the pendant. Allow drying.
  7. Once dry, slip pendant on your favorite chain or choker.
