Do you knit this in a round or back and forth on rows please? I'm about to start this for my forthcoming first grandchild

how do you get the scalloped effect while casting off - there is a scalloped look at the beginning of the project thanks Louise

yo. K3. Sl1. K2tog. psso. K3. yo. K1. This pattern increases by two stitches (yo) but only decreases by one stitch (K2tog). How can this work??

Hi Jacki, You decrease 1 stitch when you knit 2 tog. and another when you pass the slipped stitch over.

is the *yo* one stitch?

I'm going to try this with a variegated yarn. Looks pretty!

When knitting the first row. How many stiches is it from *yo to K1? For some reason I don't end at the end of the row with 3 stiches left for the K3

There is nothing like home made love!

I am a beginning knitter and I love easy patterns. Knitted blankets make wonderful gifts for new babies. Love your website! I learn something new each time I visit.

I dont knit but this makes me want to learn, the pattern seams easy, thanks for posting

To Btrfly yes, the pattern will be scalloped on both ends. I've made this pattern many times for new mothers & everyone has loved this blanket! The first one was made for my daughter when she was born almost 33 yrs ago & she used the blanket for her daughter! It is a beautiful pattern.....have fun!

I have been looking for this pattern, thank you. Have been crusing your site and it is fabulous. This site is the best I've seen in a while. God Bless you and yours, Linda

my only problem is whether or not this balnket is to be scalloped on both ends. The beginning is scalloped, and the end is straight. If anyone can tell me if this is correct, I would really appreciate it. So far no one from favecrafts can tell me. Thanks so much Kim
