When I visited Nice over a decade ago, in every little, quaint shop they sold lavender in some variety like soaps, sachets, perfume and bunches of dried lavender. I never realized how much of a business lavender is in France, and the beautiful lavender fields seen on the train ride into the town was breathtaking. I love lavender and never think there can be enough of it. Try also adding pressed lavender to the Gold Leaf Frame.

Materials List

  • 12 dried lavender stems
  • Paper towels
  • Stacks of heavy books
  • Watercolor paper
  • Frame

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spread the lavender stems out between the paper towels. Put the lavender and paper towels in between big stacks of heavy books. Wait a day before removing the lavender from the books.

  2. Cut a piece of watercolor paper to fit the size of the frame as a backdrop.

  3. Clean the glass and set it in the frame. Place the lavender directly on the glass how you want it to appear.

  4. Place the cut piece of watercolor paper over the lavender then put the backing on the frame.
