Marshmallow Sticks
Sometimes all a summer night needs is a good old fashioned hotdog roast! These Marshmallow Sticks from Melony Bradley can be used to cook hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire, and kids can have fun decorating their own handles so everyone knows who's is who's. This is also a great camp craft for girl and boy scouts or sleepovers over the summer.
Materials:
- Uncoated wire hangers
- Wood dowels, about 1" in diameter
- Drill
- Aleene's Liquid Fusion
- Paints, markers, stickers for decorating
Instructions:
-
I used wood dowels that are about 1" in diameter and cut them into pieces about 10" long.
-
Then, we drilled a hole in the center and glued a recycled wire hanger into the hole using Aleenes Liquid Fusion. Of course, we straightened the hanger before insertion.
- The fun part comes when you let your little ones loose to paint, draw, color designs on the sticks. It may be a bit easier for them to decorate the sticks before you glue the hanger into the drilled hole.
