One of the cutest ideas ever is the Clothespin DIY Advent Calendar Tutorial. This video tutorial will teach you how to make an Advent calendar with several supplies you probably already have at home. A frame, scrapbook paper, string, and clothespins are your starter materials for making this advent calendar. Once completed, this calendar will be a joy to use for counting down to Christmas.

  • Frame
  • Twine
  • Push pins
  • Clothes pins
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Number stickers
  • Paper sleeve
  • Glue Dots 


  1. Take off the backing and glass from a frame.

  2. Attach 5 rows of string to the back of the frame secured with a knot and push pin.

  3. Attach 5 clothes pins to each string except the bottom only 4.

  4. Cut down the size of the paper sleeve, put glue dots on the sleeve and then attach the scrapbook paper to the sticky side of the sleeve, cut off excess and put numbers on the sleeve.

  5. Fill with treats!
