Merry Christmas Punched Card

 

 

Materials:

  • Clever Lever Multi-Shape Christmas Set
  • Clever Lever Giga Scalloped Circle Craft Punch
  • Clever Lever Mega Circle Craft Punch
  • Marvy Matchables Ink Pad(Jungle Green, Red and Brown)
  • Mini Glue Tape
  • Borders & Corners {circles}, Text Style, Polka Dot Basics and Silent night Clear Stamp sets by Papertrey Ink
  • Pure Poppy Vintage Cream, Ripe Avocado and Smoky Shadow cardstock by Papertrey Ink
  • Bitty Stars and Bitty Boxes Patterned Paper by Papertrey Ink
  • Pure Poppy Buttons by Papertrey Ink
  • Gold and Silver Ribbon by Papertrey Ink
  • Fresh Snow Ink by Papertrey Ink
  • Prisma Glitter
  • Synthetic Sponge by Royal & Langnickle
  • Farbi-tac fabric glue by Beacon Adhesive
  • Foam mount squares

Tools:

  • Squishy Scissors
  • Paper Trimming Buddy with Victorian Cutting Blade

 

Steps:

  1. Create a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base from Pure Poppy Cardstock.
     
  2. Trim a panel of Star pattern paper and add a side trim of Box paper that has been trimmed with the Victorian cutting blade. Adhere to card base.
     
  3. Stamp circle image in Jungle Green and punch out with scalloped circle punch. Punch out a Mega circle from a piece of scratch paper. Use discard circle and use paper with circle opening as a mask. Stamp Text image in Red.
     
  4. Punch out Tree image and Star image from Bitty Stars paper. Stamp polka dots in White. Adhere to Scalloped Circle. Pun out the star image and run glue tape over the front. Dip in glitter then adhere to top of the tree.
     
  5. Stamp Sentiment with Red and Jungle Green ink onto Cream paper. Trim With Squishy Scissors.
     
  6. Add button and ribbon. Adhere with Fabri-tac.

This card is so beautiful! I really like how there are several layers. I prefer cards that are not just printed pictures but actually have different layers and textures. I bet this would look even better with a corrugated paper layer to add even more depth to the cover. The button is adorable but a fancy brad would work as well.
