  • White t-shirt
  • Plastic tablecloth
  • Plastic bag

How to Clean Up Tie Dye

Clean-Up Tie Dye Shirt

  1. Put on your gloves.

  2. Create a puddle of dye on your tablecloth if you don’t already have one.

  3. Repeat with other colors.

  4. Press the t-shirt into the dye and pat into the dye.

  5. Repeat until you’re happy with the results.

  6. Place the shirt in the plastic bag and let sit for 6-8 hours or overnight.

  7. Rinse the shirt until the water runs clear and then wash in a washing machine set on cold.

What a great idea to create a tie-dye shirt or even shorts and cleaning up mess at the same time and creating something so unique. I think I will just wipe up and see what I get instead of finding places to wipe die. This is super easy and I like the video but it sure is skipping a lot and it is hard to watch like that.At least you still have the written directions if you need it. I will try this next time I tie dye.
