I never thought about dressing up something so simple as the milk cartons you buy each week to make an inexpensive organizer. This is just the right size for spring projects because everyone is looking to tidy up their area and make it look different while saving some money at the same time. This idea accomplishes all those goals in a fun way that lets people show off their creativity and preferences.

I love this idea! I work at a school, and we have tons of milk cartons available that otherwise just get recycled. The newsprint would be great as well, because our kids are just starting to read. Maybe we could use magazines or a simple print?

Neat idea for your Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, or for your church group/youth group. It is easy enough for anyone who has never done anything like this before, but just enough of a challenge to keep it interesting. There's no room for creativity here, so if you've got people who don't have that kind of talent (creativity), have them take on this project. It will make them feel empowered.

I think this article is a good starting point. However, I don't like newsprint. One can instead use pictures cut from magazines or printed from the internet as either an overall collage, or one panel per side. Choose a portrait of a favorite author, then add quotes from him/her.

Since I'm not good in complex projects, this project idea is perfect. And mindshift's suggestion to use quotes can make the stands look a bit more chic! Thanks to both!
