Make you backyard gorgeous again with this stunning Thrift Store Outdoor Lantern. You'd never know by looking at it that it's made from mostly recycled items. Check out your local thrift store or dollar store to find a nice a glass hurricane or vase to form the frame of your DIY lantern. You can clean out and reuse an old tuna can from last week's dinner to make the base.
With a coat of dark paint and a white candle, this elegant garden craft looks much more expensive than it actually is. Once they see it, your friends will be asking you to teach them how to make a lantern!

Great idea! An project that can upcycle or reuse items is not only great for the environment but is a wonderful way to challenge the mind with creativity and clever thinking, another option for this is to lightly paint or stain the glass hurricane for a pretty Subdued effect ...
