Modern Embroidered Baskets

By: Haeley Giambalvo from designimprovised.com
Modern Embroidered Baskets

Transform old baskets that you have at home (or can find at a thrift store) into Modern Embroidered Baskets with a little yarn and creativity. If you love yarn craft ideas, then this is the perfect project to try. All you need is colorful variegated yarn and a darning needle to stitch a variety of patterns onto the baskets. This is a great project for anyone who wants to combine a few different craft styles into one cool piece. Use these baskets to store fruit, pencils or even craft supplies. They'll look great anywhere in your home and would also make great gifts.

This is a great idea to help teach kids how to sew and to improve visual and dexterity skills, or even as a rehab project with older folks. As a former therapist, this project teaches counting, colors, coordination and art and ends up with at lovely item! Super project and comes with added benefits for the creator too! Thank you for sharing this creative idea!

One of my favorite summer time events are going to garage sales, or to flea markets. I always find several baskets, and though I do like baskets, you can only do so much with them. Until now! I love what you have done with these baskets, and what a wonderful idea. You have just given me one more idea of how to re-cycle something into a wonderful gift to give someone. This is such a great gift idea.
