I love this idea. I make headed jewelry so I always have seed beads around. I make crochet kids clothes with embroidered designs on the front. This would really jazz them up. A little flower with a headed center for example. It is easy, inexpensive and cute. That's says it for me.

This craft could be a great stash-buster. Use up those little piles of beads and embroidery thread. I'm guessing if you wanted to use a different size aida, you would find the size bead that would fit in the square? You could show off the beads more using a clear thread too. Or, only use the beads for adding embellishments.
