How To Make A Simple Jack-o-lantern Cork Pumpkin

"Do you love Halloween? Do you also love wine? Then this is a craft for you! This classy little pumpkin made of corks is perfect for the kitchen or bar! Is there a better way to use some of those corks that collect in that bowl or vase to the side of the counter? Even if you don’t drink wine this rustic Jack-o-lantern cork pumpkin decoration still fits perfectly in any kitchen, dining room or bar area. It’s a fabulously fun and easy project to fill up a couple hours on a cool fall afternoon."

Instructions

  1. Using 24 corks. Dip each end of the corks into orange paint. Be sure to have a paper towel handy to dab the excess paint onto. Set the corks aside to dry.

  2. Cut one cork in half and paint it all green using a paint brush. This will be your pumpkin's stump.

  3. Using a hot glue gun, glue the corks together side by side. The number of corks per row is as follows... 4 corks, then 5 corks, then 6, back to 5 and finally 4 again. Glue them side by side and then each row on top of each other.

  4. Glue the green stump cork onto the top of the orange corks and add some green curled floral wire and a felt leaf.

  5. Finally, create your pumpkins Jack-o-Lantern face using black paint.
