Materials:

  • Guaze
  • Needle
  • Thread
  • Button
  • Hot glue gun and glue (optional)
  • Hairband (optional)
  • Felt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut a 10 x 1.5 inches strip of gauze (gauze can be ripped, it gives a nice finishing).

  2. Use needle and thread to make long stitches along the edge (not the ripped edge, leave that one for the outside).

  3. Pull the thread to gather the fabric.

  4. Starting from one end, overlap the fabric to form a spiral.

  5. Stitch to secure in place and sew or hot glue a button in the center.

  6. Optional: Hot glue flower to a hairband, then attach a piece of felt to secure.

It is very pretty but for those of us just starting out with such projects you should include how much gauze is needed and which side of the gauze is torn, the long end or short end. Would love to try, but without more info beginners can not suceed.

Just rip down the 10 inch edge, that is the longest side thread it and pull the thread until you have a little roll, as tight or as loose as you'd like. -)

Wish you had pictures how you cut the petals .... some of us aren't as crafty as you. Looks so pretty

You do not have to make petals. It's the way the material goes when you pull the thread tight, As loose or as tight as you'd like. You can exoperiment with the length and tightness, once you get the hang od it. -)
