Sunflower Shawl

Sunflower Shawl

"Fall is nearly upon us, and that means sunflowers (and pumpkins)! This shawl creates a triangle shape, designed to be worn as shown in the photo as opposed to along the shoulders, and is worked in a join-as-you-go way, making it a little easier to finish, even though it is a labor of love. To make your own, you'll need some lightweight yarn (like Baby Bee's Sweet Delight), and H8/5mm crochet hook, and a tapestry needle. Each flower took me about 15 minutes to complete. Finished shawl measures 39” at Widest Point by 34.5” at Tallest Point."

The Sunflower Shawl looks amazing when worn as a bandana style scarf, hanging down the front. This wins a top prize in the originality category in my book. I bet it's really fun to work up the flowers one by one, and then see it take shape as you join them all together. It is a work of art!
