Crochet Simple Hearts

Crochet Simple Hearts

"This crochet simple hearts pattern is one of the easiest patterns to master. It has only two rounds. The first round is made with a magic circle and double crochet stitches. The last round shapes the heart by working a number of basic crochet stitches around the circle. The pattern allows for versatility. Crochet many sizes by using different size crochet hooks to increase or decrease the size of the finished heart. String the hearts together with a long chain and make a banner. Make a mobile by stringing together different sizes and colors of hearts. Sew on bags, purses, pillows, scarves, placemats, and cozies as an appliqué. (I use a heart as an appliqué on my Crochet Valentine Mug Cozy.)"

These hearts are the simplest appliques you could make for your endless crotchet projects. I find that the best appliques are always in a different material either felt, fabric, yarn or even paper. This heart applique can also be used to layer a gift basket for valentine's Day or even mother's Day or Christmas. And you can have it down in under ten minutes experienced or not.
