could you knit this project

The blocks are stitched together, though you could crochet them together. We have an article on the site that covers different ways to seam or join in crochet:

Good luck with your project!

I would love to make this afghan but am a bit confused. How is it put together? Is it crocheted together? What color of yarn was used? I crochet afghans for the hospitals and have sooooo many pieces of yarn and this looks like a beautiful pattern to use those parts of skeins. Please advise how it is put together.
