From the blogger: "Clay is so much fun! Use polymer clay and simple tools to make a fancy looking dish to hold your sewing pins. This DIY magnetic pin dish will help keep your sewing room organized; and, it’s way easier to throw a pin in a dish than stick it in a pillow. Magnets keep pins from falling if you knock it over; this is a functional and pretty DIY gift idea for anyone who loves sewing. You can make this in one night and have plenty of clay left over to make more. Inexpensive supplies and a beginner level skill make this a hit!"

I think this is such a cool idea! I hate dropping needles when I sew, so it'll be nice to use a magnetic bowl for a change.

I actually thought the magnets were inside the material. It's excellent that they are attached underneath. I reaIly think this is a great idea. I would consider making one for my mother. She has vision problems so not only would this keep her straight pins in place but she'd be able to feel them if concentrating on a project. I'm thinking that a solid color would be a better idea for someone who is elderly and having problems seeing things. Do you agree?
