Birthday card display ideas like this one are effortlessly beautiful and don't damage your cabinets! Keep the celebration going after the party by displaying birthday cards on a custom door display. In this example, we use a pink and white wired linen striped ribbon, a white double-ended clip and clear two-piece magnets.

Ribb-Its display system is an easy way to hang cards, photos, artwork and more without adhesives or holes. The 3 components---ribbon, elastic double-ended clip and unique 2-piece magnet---work together to create an attractive display. It’s quick to install and easily customized for any holiday or celebration. Mix and match ribbon, double-ended clips and unique two-piece magnets to showcase your distinctive style and creativity.

Materials List

  • Any ribbon, burlap, denim or fabric long enough to wrap around your door. 5 yards (or 15 feet) is recommended for a full-size door such as a bedroom or pantry.
  • One double-ended clip per loop of ribbon
  • Unique two-piece magnets
  • Items to be displayed (cards, photos, drawings, etc.)
  • Scissors

How It Works

  1. Wrap ribbon around door and cut to fit.

  2. Leave enough length to fold into clip teeth.

  3. Secure ribbon to surface with the elastic double-ended clip. Make sure ribbon is taut to prevent sagging.

  4. Separate magnet from backing by removing backing from plastic tray.

  5. Place the decorative magnet in front of the birthday card, then slide the flat metal disk backing behind the ribbon. The ultra-strong magnet will grab the backing, sandwiching your item in place.

  6. Continue using magnets to display additional cards.
